Paisley Abbey--March 21, 2017
Our first trip to Scotland was a mission involving the centennial commemoration of the S.S. Tuscania sinking. Faced with a 5 1/2 hour layover at Glasgow International to catch the evening commuter flight to the Isle of Islay (off of which the Tuscania was sunk, February 5, 1918), we opted to do a quick freelance tour through Paisley Abbey in Renfrewshire, Scotland.
And that led to...this enormous stained glass artwork at Paisley Abbey, the "Cradle of Kings"...birthplace of the Stewart royal line.
